That's all and takes only 1 or 2 minutes...
Note: For a more accurate treatment of the general problem of setting record/playback delay, see the question "How do I set-up record / playback / monitoring delay?" in the chapter on "Audio, both platforms" of this FAQ.
It has to do with the option in LAPW:
Options > Settings > MIDI Options > Transmit MIDI Clock
I had the box there checked and under it was "All Ports." I have a MTP AV linked to a MTP II. All I simply had to do was change that option from "All Ports" to "MTPAV Out All."
Make sure that your sound card isn't sharing an IRQ with any other device. It has to have one of its own.
Question: I'm still experiencing both bursts of digital noise at the ends of audio regions, and also sustained digital noise that forces me to leap across the desk to turn off the power amp, and then force-quite Logic and restart. Yamaha DSP Factory (2416 & AX44)
Answer: Early revs of the DSP Factory have this problem, which is apparently related to overheating/additional current being sent to the card -- hence the inconsistency of the bursts of noise. When you start/stop the card, via LAW, it's reasonably safe to assume that the amount of current sent to the card changes. (This is an educated guess, not a statement of fact ;-))
There is a hardware modification which can be done by Yamaha which should be free-of-charge, but may not be with your local distributor -- check it out.
To see if your card has/has not been modified, take a look at the underside for a "white (or coloured) glob of goo" (Yamaha tech's words, not mine ;-)) with a small wire patched between components. Even if it has, it may still be worthwhile talking to Yamaha about this as they may have updated the patch/procedure.
